During the Thematic Social Forum in Porto Alegre which included CONAM, FCOC, IAI, FNRU, the unity of urban social movements was highlighted. Also highlighted was the fight against evictions. This debate takes place in the context of participation-building at the Peoples’ Summit and at the Peoples’ Permanent Assembly that will take place parallel to the Rio+20 United Nations Conference, where we intend to advance the construction of the Urban and Communitarian Way.

Союз жильцов Миннесоты организует совместно с жильцами жилых домов акцию в многоквартирном 60 блочном доме в городе Сейнт Пол, штат Миннесота, который находится под угрозой изъятия в связи с судебным решением о невыплате долгов по ипотеке, а сами жители – под угрозой перемещения. Нам нужна Ваша помощь. Конкретно, необходимо послать несколько обращений в поддержку от членов групп жильцов и активистов по всему миру соответствующим органам городской власти и их представителям в городе Сейнт Пол, что было бы хорошим стимулом для жильцов.
